Personal space is exactly that, 'personal'. Each individual knows when their personal space is being intruded

Q) However, a personal perception of individual space is largely determined by the cultural norms of the individual's society and culture. What cultural group do you believe have the largest and smallest amount of personal space? And to what extent if any does this have a bearing on an individual's openness to others?

A) great question. I think europeans have the smallest personal space culturally because they hug a lot and kiss alot even with strangers. Africans and Asians (culturally) and muslims (religious wise)on the other hand probably have the largest personal space because they are very conservative and very adverse to nearness because of the possibility of something sexual coming out of it

Personal Security?

Q) i know this is a VAST VAST subject and lots of people will be different, but:- what aspect of your personal security do you worry about most? what do you do about it?.... (personal attack alarms, baby monitors, wheel clamps on your caravan, CCTV, nothing.. just worry?) what would you like to change for the better, in your personal Security?

A) Honestly, I don't worry too much about it. The only thing that might worry me is going to strange urban areas at night, especially if the area is known for crime or drugs. The answer is that I just don't go there. Where I stay, there aren't that many no go areas, and there is very little reason or even no reason to visit them.

Defining personal troubles, public issues?

Q) I am trying to write an essay relating to personal troubles, public issues as defined by C.W.Mills but I am unable to do this with an academic tone. My understanding is that a personal trouble is to do with the individual and their character when they perceive their values to be threatened, this then transforms into a public issue when it relates to significant numbers of people perceiving their values to be threatened. I am looking for clarification of what personal troubles/public issues are and assistance with putting this into layman's terms without using the terminology used by Mills

A) I would say the difference is mainly about numbers of people affected, and subsidiarily about how they respond. Take the example of sexual abuse of children. When an individual Catholic priest abused a child 20-30 years ago, it was a personal trouble for both of them. When it emerged that a considerable number of Catholic priests had abused many children, it became a public issue. I said 'about how they respond' because public issues are ones that politicians, the media, or pressure groups do or are asked to get involved in They are issues brought into the public domain. So even if fifty people have the same problem with their boss, so long as it remains within a ring of confidentiality in the office it does not become a public issue.

What is a personal recount?

Q) Wat is a personal recount? Wat are some types of personal recount qs? Wat are the language features of a personal recount? Wat is the structure (text organization) of a personal recount?

A) It can take any form depending on the age of the writer and purpose of the writing. Mostly it is the recount in the persons own words and equates to the style the teacher has chosen and/or the students ability. How? When? Where? Feel? can help focus.

A) talk to you doctor and get him to reccomend a good cpn or mht (community phyciatric nurse or mental health team) you can try books but they will not tell you how you yourself can deal with your past only how the author dealt with theres. everone who has suffered bad experiances has found away to deal with them good or bad you need to find a way to find out how you can best deal with yours and that starts with talking to someone good luck

Personal issues (read on)?

Q) My friend is single at 33 and nice, then she keep saying she's got personal issues, if she says she has "issues", I think thats another way of saying "I have problems too, but I'm not-that comfortable defining them to you." She is probably pretty set in her ways and probably does have personal issues. I wouldn't know if she even knew what those issues were, but I am very interested in her. So how can I give her space and show concern without being judgmental and without pressuring too much? so she'll feel comfortable to share it with me, or how can I make her feel comfortable enough to open it up to me at her own pace-and on her own time. how can make realize I am concerned?

A) She knows you're concerned. When she's ready and feels you need to know, she'll tell you. Until then, if she needs to keep her feelings private, you should respect that. If she's not comfortable defining her problems to you, your pressuring her into doing so would only make her uncomfortable with you.

Personal Banker?

Q) Now at the age of 40, I am thinking of having a career change to become a 'Personal Banker'. Does anybody know what qualifications/work experience is required in order to become a 'Personal Banker' ? I am a graduate with about 10 years experience of administration/customer service roles and 6 years experience of debt collection, and would also like to know if this is a good career to get into at my age? A) It all depends on how determined you are. I am not sure where you live, but In Canada you would have to take a course such as the Canadian Securities Course which in quite technical for one who does not know much about investments, but with the experience you have, I think you would make more money as a customer service supervisor than starting out in the banking industry. Most banks want to hire someone who will stay with them for some time as well as aspire to progress though constantly upgrading your skills.

Personal pension and incapacity benefit?

Q) My Dad is in reciept of incapacity benefit, he can not work due to very bad health, up intil he became ill he had worked long n hard,, he is finding the amount hard to live on he has a personal pension which he is considering drawing an income from but he worried it will affect his benefit,, does anyone know if his benefit will be taken from him if he starts to draw an income of approx £2000 a year from his personal pension..xx

Q) You've got your personal private band. Just you and a few mates are in on them...... well apart from the other 200 diehards that turn up to their little gigs in the pubs and clubs in towns you'd never heard of. It's your little secret. Your private club. AND THEN THEY BREAK INTO THE MAINSTREAM! A) I would be pleased that they finally get the reconition they deserved all except the part of the other people saying "I have loved them from the start" unless they did luv them from the start oh and the 12 yr olds... naw but you can't help that from happening.. but i hope some local bands that are around my town get to be noticed one day! (hope fully im in one of those bands) i luv music.

A) With data sharing now encouraged by the government - expect more identity theft. Hence the rush for identify cards. It has some merit - now most Post offices have closed you can at least tax your car on the Internet. But why have car tax at all - just put it on petrol - the polluters pay. the old excuse that they have to check our MOT and insurance doesn't hold water - they data share that information now. Sack all those parasitic pen pushes at the DVLA! Put car tax on petrol and diesel. Introduce a ID card that is self financing - that will double as a MasterCard, visa card, medical card etc. Get the banks to pay for them - they make record profits!

A) It's natural. Since he is experienced, ask him to guide you and have fun with it. But only have sex if you are ready... not cause he wants it. Make sure you are ready: emotionally, physically, etc. (can't stress that enough)!
